Terms of Service
The rules for using our website, client portals and online services.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Softoin website and any online services, portals or tools we provide. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. About these terms
“Softoin”, “we” and “us” mean Softoin, a software development company registered in India. “You” means the person or organisation using our website or services. Where you have signed a separate proposal, statement of work or agreement with us, that document applies to the project, and these terms apply alongside it.
2. Using our website
You may use our website to learn about our services, contact us and read our content. You agree not to:
- use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- try to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts or data;
- introduce viruses, malicious code or anything that disrupts the website;
- copy, scrape or republish our content in bulk without written permission; or
- pretend to be Softoin or misuse our name, logo or brand.
3. Client portals and restricted areas
Some services, such as project dashboards, admin panels or staging sites, may require a login. Keep your login details confidential and tell us straight away if you think they have been misused. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account. We may suspend access to protect the security of the service.
4. Confidential information
Each party will keep the other’s confidential information (including business plans, requirements, source code, credentials and pricing) private, use it only for the project, and share it only with people who need to know it. This duty continues after the project ends. We are happy to sign a separate non-disclosure agreement on request.
5. Intellectual property
The content of this website, including text, graphics, illustrations, logos and code, belongs to Softoin or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not use it without our written permission.
For client projects, ownership of the custom deliverables passes to the client once all invoices for that work have been paid in full, unless the agreement says otherwise. We keep the right to reuse our general know-how, tools and non-client-specific components, and third-party or open-source software remains under its own licence.
6. Licence to use our services
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use our website and online services for their intended purpose. You may not resell, sublicense or reverse engineer them except where the law allows.
7. Third-party services
Projects often rely on third-party services such as hosting providers, app stores, payment gateways, SMS or email providers and maps. Their own terms and fees apply, and we are not responsible for their availability, pricing changes or policy decisions.
8. Information on this website
We work to keep the information on our website accurate and current, but it is provided for general information only. Descriptions of services, examples and figures do not form part of a contract unless they are included in a written proposal.
9. Quotes, pricing and taxes
Estimates are based on the information available at the time and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Final prices are confirmed in a written proposal. Prices exclude GST and other applicable taxes, which are added to invoices as required by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Softoin is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, data or business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project in the six months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Softoin for losses arising from content, data or materials you supply that infringe someone else’s rights or break the law, or from your misuse of our website or services.
12. Privacy
Our use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access to our website or online services if these terms are broken, if required by law, or to protect our systems and other users. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as confidentiality, intellectual property and liability) survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to resolve any dispute through good-faith discussion. If that does not work within 30 days, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at the place of Softoin’s registered office in India.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies from its “Last updated” date. Questions? Email sales@softoin.com.
